Daily production report format in Excel
One row per machine and shift: target, pieces made, rejected, minutes lost and the reason. A shift that falls short of its target turns red by itself.

How to keep it
- At the start of the shift, write one row for each machine or line, with the job card, the operator and the target.
- Before leaving the floor, the supervisor fills in the pieces made, the pieces rejected and the minutes lost. "Good pieces" and "Short by" fill themselves.
- A red row needs a reason from the list and one name in "Action by". A short row without them is not complete.
- Morning: filter "Date" for yesterday and read the red rows first. If a job will miss its promised date, tell sales the same day.
- Once a week, count the minutes lost on each machine and how often each reason appears.
