LeadSquared alternative in India: volume or follow-up?

A LeadSquared alternative for India: what LeadSquared is built for, six questions that show which problem you have, and when a follow-up system fits you.

5 min read · 28 Sept 2026

A friend who runs admissions for a group of coaching centres swears by LeadSquared. A large team of counsellors works on it, and a rule decides which of them gets each new enquiry. You install rooftop solar, three people sell for you, and you sat through the same demo. Every question got a yes. You still came out unsure whether it was made for a business like yours.

What LeadSquared is, in its own words

LeadSquared is a CRM made by the company of the same name, with its corporate office in Bengaluru. Its website describes it as a CRM for sales, marketing, service and field teams, and as one platform for inside sales teams, call centre agents and feet-on-street staff. The phrase it uses is "high-velocity sales". The industries it names include financial services, education, healthcare, automotive, manufacturing and real estate.

The site lists automated lead scoring and distribution, workflows built without code, a phone app for field sales, click-to-call, and email, WhatsApp and SMS from inside the CRM. The sales CRM is charged per user, and the site invites you to book a demo with their team.

LeadSquared alternative in India: first check which problem you have

High-velocity sales means many leads, many people working on them, and rules that decide who gets which lead. Many businesses that look for a LeadSquared alternative have a different problem: fewer enquiries, each worth a good order, and no certainty that anyone called back.

Answer these six questions for your own business.

Question Answer A Answer B
How many new enquiries come on a normal day? More than anyone can read one by one Few enough to read each one
Who decides which salesperson gets an enquiry? A rule: city, product, language or turn You or a senior, in a minute
How long from enquiry to order? A few days Weeks, with a quote and several calls
Who sells? Teams of callers with team leaders A few salespeople who know each other's parties
What do you want to read every evening? Calls per agent and results per campaign Which follow-ups were missed, and by whom
Who will configure it and look after it? A person whose job is sales operations Nobody in the office has the time

Mostly A: you have a volume problem, and LeadSquared is built for it. Mostly B: you have a follow-up problem. That needs one list, one name on each enquiry and a next date.

LeadSquared vs a system set up for your process

Question LeadSquared A system set up for your process
Who sets it up? It starts with a demo. Ask what the onboarding includes We do, on your open enquiries, in about two weeks
How is it charged? Per user A fixed one-time price and a flat monthly plan, not per user
Whose process does it follow? Workflows built inside the product Your stages, sources and words, one process at a time
Who do you call when it stops? Ask in the demo, and get it in writing One point of contact

When LeadSquared is the better choice

  • Leads arrive in volume from advertisements, portals and campaigns, and each one must reach a caller within minutes, by rule.
  • You run inside sales, a call centre or field staff, and want calls and visits on record.
  • Your trade is one it names, such as lending, insurance, education or healthcare, and you want a product already shaped for that trade.
  • Marketing and sales must work in one product.
  • You have, or will hire, a person to run it.

If this is your business, book their demo and take your real numbers with you. A follow-up list will not give you lead routing or campaign reports.

If you already run LeadSquared

Keep it for leads. If the trouble starts after the sale, with orders, site work or payments, that is another process. A separate system for that one process can run beside LeadSquared, the way Tally stays for accounts. A won order is entered there once.

Which one fits you?

A shared sheet is enough if one or two people sell and you read the list every Friday. The eight columns and the routine are in why enquiries go cold.

LeadSquared fits when your answers were mostly A.

A system set up for your process fits when your answers were mostly B and the sheet has stopped working: salespeople on the road do not open it, and you hear about a missed follow-up only when the order is lost. We set up Enquiry Follow-up for that: one enquiry list, a due-today list for each salesperson and the missed follow-ups by name. It does not score leads, route them by rule or run campaigns. Try the live demo without a signup, and put the nine questions to every seller, including us.

Product names belong to their owners. Shilp Labs is not connected to any of them. What is said about them here was read on their own websites in October 2026 and may have changed.
