WATI vs Interakt vs AiSensy: how to choose by fit
WATI vs Interakt vs AiSensy: what each WhatsApp Business API tool says it is, how each is charged, and five questions that show which one fits you.
Enquiries come to one WhatsApp number, and that number lives in one phone. When that person is on a site visit, nobody replies. Somebody says "take the WhatsApp API", and three names come up: WATI, Interakt and AiSensy. Here is what each one says about itself, and how to choose by fit, without a ranking.
What a WhatsApp Business API tool is
The WhatsApp Business API is WhatsApp's official route for a business that wants its whole team on one number and messages that go out by themselves. You use it through a tool, and Wati (often written WATI), Interakt and AiSensy are three such tools. Each says on its own website that it is a Meta Business Partner, and each offers the same core:
- one inbox where several staff answer chats on the same number
- broadcasts or campaigns to many contacts at once
- chatbots and automatic replies that you build without code
All three sell their plans as a subscription, and all three bill WhatsApp template messages apart from the plan. So the choice is about which business each tool is made for.
WATI vs Interakt vs AiSensy: what each one says about itself
| Question | Wati | Interakt | AiSensy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who makes it? | Clare.ai Limited | Jio Haptik Technologies Limited | AiSensy Communications Private Limited |
| Who does its site speak to? | Businesses that sell and support through chats, with pages for marketing, support and sales teams. It says it began as a team inbox | SMBs and D2C brands. It can sync a product catalogue from Shopify, WooCommerce or Excel | Startups and growing businesses. It calls itself a WhatsApp marketing and engagement platform and leads with broadcasts |
| Can you try it first? | A free trial | A free trial | A free trial and a free plan |
Each one counts users in its own way, and each pricing page lists add-ons sold on top of a plan. Read the pricing page of the day you buy.
Interakt vs AiSensy vs WATI: five questions that decide the fit
- What is the number mainly for? A team that answers sales and support chats needs the inbox most. Offers to a long customer list need broadcasts. An online store needs the catalogue. See which of these each website puts first.
- How many people will reply? Price your real number of staff on each pricing page.
- How many messages will you start in a month? Estimate the template messages and add their charge to the plan fee.
- What must it connect to? Your online store, your website form, your ads. Test that one connection in the trial.
- Who will set it up and keep it? Message templates must be written and chatbot flows must be built. Name the person before you pay.
Then take the free trial of the two that fit best, in the same week, and put the same ten real enquiries through both.
When the tool alone is the better choice
One of these tools, with nothing added, is the right answer when:
- you mainly need several staff on one number, with every chat in one place
- you send offers, price lists or order updates to customers who already know you
- you run an online store and want your catalogue on WhatsApp
- someone on your team likes building chatbot flows and has the hours to keep them current
In these cases, buy the tool and stop there.
What the tool does not decide
A WhatsApp tool sends and receives messages. It does not decide by itself what the answer to "what is your price?" should be, when the second follow-up goes, or which chats must go to a person. Those are your rules. You can build them inside the tool yourself, or have them set up to work with it.
| Question | Any of the three tools | A follow-up system set up for your process |
|---|---|---|
| Who sets it up? | You or your staff | We do, on your own questions and answers, in about two weeks |
| How is it charged? | A plan fee plus message charges | A fixed one-time price and a flat monthly plan that is not per user. The tool's own bill stays yours, and the AI model that drafts replies has a small usage charge |
| Whose process does it follow? | The one you build in it | Yours: approved answers, three follow-ups over seven days, hand-over to a person |
| Who do you call when it stops? | The vendor | One point of contact |
Which one fits you?
Choose between the three with the five questions and your own trial. Add a follow-up system when you pay for every enquiry, the first reply waits until someone is free, and nobody follows up a second time. For that we set up a WhatsApp Enquiry Assistant, which connects to your WhatsApp Business number through an official tool of this kind. The live demo runs without a signup.
If your follow-up routine is not written down yet, start with why enquiries go cold.
Product names belong to their owners. Shilp Labs is not connected to any of them. What is said about them here was read on their own websites in October 2026 and may have changed.
